"Mississippi Moon" Open Mic

Join us as local musicians prove that Mississippi music continues to shine in this show featuring music about Mississippi or written, performed or recorded by some of our state's many groundbreaking musical artists. Show will take place in the Omnova Theater at the Rosenzweig Arts Center on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Members of the Columbus Writers & Storytellers Guild present readings from their original works and from some of their favorite Mississippi authors.  Homemade snacks by group members and Coffee House on 5th will be on site for coffee orders.

Dylan Karges won best in show with his piece "Red Cedars." 1st place in Drawing/Painting was Kathie Baeuerlin with "Palms & Plants," 1st place in Photography was Caterina Mendolicchio with "Venetian Sunset - Venezia," and 1st place in 3D was Mary Jane Everett with "Pond Drain." Come on by the Columbus Arts Council at the Rosenzweig Arts Center to see the Market Street Exhibition and vote on your favorite piece for People's Choice
