G2 has been rearranged and updated with spring and color in mind. Elayne Goodman stocked us with a new treasure trove of creative and colorful objets d'art. Her unique touch and style looks great on furniture, wall art and everything in between. A stunning mosaic collage anchors the end wall and will probably walk off before long. Complementing Elayne’s work, Seldon Lambert has several bright, colorful pieces that draw the eye along the room. New serving pottery is on display from Mary Jo Williams, Catawba Corner in Hamilton; a large collection of lovely serving platters in beautiful glazes to satisfy every taste. Patti Johnson’s affordable pottery also adds interest and nicely fills a niche on our pedestals and shelves. An experienced photographer and computer geek, Judy Howle has re-supplied us with photo cards of local places and stocked items in our print bins suitable for framing. Unexpectedly, we have a portrait set from Cynthia Boub, who teaches art at East Mississippi Community College. She depicts four faces gleaned from photographs taken during the Civil Rights Era. Beautifully rendered, the set is well worth your interest. We hope she can become a regular. Drop in when you have the opportunity, as new items from our local artists and CAC members are available also.
