Artist Bio:

"I was born on February 6, 1973 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. I immigrated to Germany when I was 18. I learned to speak German fluently and studied Graphic Design at Kollping Academy for Communications Design and Multimedia where after three years I received my diploma and began working as a Graphic Designer. After a couple of years, I realized I needed a new challenge; so, I returned to school and studied Web Application Design at Wildner Training Systems.

Upon completion of my studies at Wildner, I worked for Heiler Software AG as an Application Designer. I quickly realized that Web Design was not a good career choice for me, so I returned to school for the third and final time. My field of study centered on Visual Communication at Stuttgart University.

I met my husband a short time later, and we moved to America in 2003. I was a stay-at-home mom for two years before I began painting. While motherhood is the most fulfilling and challenging career I have chosen to undertake, I knew I needed something for myself. I began painting in earnest in 2005, and I soon realized that painting had become food for my soul.
