Art has been facinating to me since I was a small child of four years old. I noticed a painting of a beautiful sunset not long after having witnessed an absolutely gorgeous sunset while traveling in the Colorado mountains with my parents. This made a tremendous impact on me. Until then I did not know that people could make such beautiful and interesting things.
I have been in love with the process of making art since then, exploring various media and experiencing that feeling of accomplishment when completing something "unique," something "good."
This collection of works from recent years mainly stem from two bodies of work, with a few forays going off into fun and different directions. Those few particularly different works are often symbolic works expressing visions of mine from memories of experiences in my past.
One group of paintings are large, abstract works based on strands or shapes of color, ranging from subtle to vibrant. The most recent contain more vivid and joyful color and are compositons based on my reaction to some famous artists and their works from the past. The other group of drawings are large, abstract line drawings and are sensitive emotional and personal expressions drawn from concepts of and my reaction to certain elements found in nature. I hope that you enjoy my view of the world as seen through my art. It has certainly been my pleasure.
