We're mixing it up this year!
During the week of June 22-26, the 11-18 year old summer camp will include trips to various art museums within Mississippi.
Tuesday, we will go to Philadelphia, MS to visit the Choctaw Museum of Art along with the Cultural Center.
Wednesday, we will travel to Jackson to visit the Mississippi Museum of Art and the Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center.
Thursday, we will go to Tupelo to visit the Oren Dunn Museum, and the Elvis Presley Birthplace museum. With these trips, we hope to educate and inspire through the world of art and culture in our community.
On Monday and Friday, we will have a photographer in house to speak with the students on photography and show them how to use their cameras. This way, they can document the week and what they have seen. On Friday, the students will finish their projects and will display them for the final show.
On Monday and Friday, lunch will be provided along with snacks. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, each child will need to bring a sack lunch with them for the trip, but snacks will be provided for them.
