Meekayll Boyd is a 22 year old charcoal artist born and raised in Chicago, IL, until a turn of events led him to the small town of Starkville, Mississippi. Meekayll met a fantastic high school art teacher by the name of Andrew Lark whose sole purpose was to bring out the best abilities of his students. This is where his journey in art truly began. With countless amount of hours honing his skills in charcoal drawings he was finally able to develop a style and technique within art that continues to improve with each work of art created. He dreams that through his artwork he may help others. The meticulous nature of his work and process is grounded in realistic renderings, and his subject matter ranges from portraits and still life to conceptual.
