New Hope High School

The works included in this show were made by numerous New Hope High School students enrolled in Art 1, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Ceramics, and AP Studio Art. At New Hope High School, students are often invited to work collaboratively and choose their own subject, media, or inspiration to fulfill a “big idea” and “essential questions.” We focus on big picture ideas and essential questions to engage students in art making practices that motivate them to be reflective and critical makers in and out of the classroom. Many of the pieces in this exhibit are inspired by pop culture and created with the assistance the 1:1 digital learning initiative at Lowndes County School District.
